Daniel Sol Villanueva is a first-generation Salvadorian-American born and raised in Los Angeles. As a multidisciplinary designer, he specializes in immersive technology, including real-time visual programming, spatial design, AR/VR, and 3D animation. His work focuses on creating interactive stories that connect people with themselves and new perspectives.

He worked at companies like Twitter now known as 'X' and The United States Corps of Engineers as well as leading engineers to develop an Augmented Reality app that got funded by the MIT Solve Program.

Growing up in a community with limited access to resources and technology, Daniel learned to bring his ideas to life from nothing. This experience sparked a curiosity to understand emerging technologies, allowing him to explore new ways to tell stories and to finds creative ways to bring imagination to life. finding his passion in entrepreneurship and creating real-time interactive exhibitions.

Teaching community members how to lead and use AR Technology

After the pandemic, Daniel launched a mission called En Un Futuro, dedicated to bringing technical education to underrepresented communities. Through workshops and interactive lessons, he teaches essential skills like Augmented Reality, coding, graphic design, and 3D modeling.

This initiative has gained recognition and support from organizations, including The Clinton Foundation, Snapchat, and Verizon. Daniel also shared his vision on the global stage at Vanderbilt University, where he emphasized the critical need for equal access to emerging technologies

Daniel is currently exploring the intersection of real-time brain-computer interface data and live visual programming to create immersive experiences where people co-create with their environment.

 

Alongside this, he continues to work closely with communities, listening to their stories and sharing knowledge of emerging technologies to ensure no one is left behind.

Daniel believes that every creation should embody a sense of humanity, as culture is the foundation of purpose.
